Issue:

Our monitoring systems have alerted our Engineering team that our Direct Connections to our downstream
SIP carrier provider are down. Traffic is currently traversing the back-up Internet Connections and a drop in call quality has been reported.

On-net calling is unaffected.

Actions

Engineering are liaising directly with IP Exchange and more
information will be provided when it becomes available.

[ADSL/FTTC] Maintenance window 7th April 2016

Please be advised of the following maintenance window scheduled on our
ADSL/FTTC service.

Date: Thursday, 7th April 2016
Start time: 23:15 BST (UTC+0100)
End time: 03:15 BST (UTC+0100) (Friday)

Purpose:

One of our suppliers will be upgrading a core network device to which
we are connected.

Services affected:

ADSL/FTTC services.
(Cloud Ethernet business FTTC services will not be affected).

Impact:

Low.

ADSL and FTTC customers may lose connectivity briefly during this
window and should automatically reconnect within a few minutes to an
alternate site.

If you have problems following this maintenance, please turn your
ADSL/FTTC modem/router off and on again. If you continue to experience
any problems after following this procedure, please contact the NOC.

[QUAR] [IP Voice Services] Informational: IPVS Business Portal

We have become aware that some customers may be using a very old
version of the business portal due to having bookmarks to an older
version.

Recent upgrades to the business portal have greatly improved
functionality and ease of use, and we strongly recommend you upgrade.

The following URL will always allow you to access the latest version
of the business portal:

A copy of the administrator and employee user guides for the latest
version can be obtained from noc at comtec.com

[IP Voice Services] Maintenance window 19th March 2016

Please be advised of the following maintenance window scheduled on Saturday, 19th March to IP Voice Services.

Date: Saturday, 19th March 2016
Start time: 0000 GMT
End time: 0400 GMT


Purpose:

The Engineering team will be performing works to upgrade the Session Border Controller Clusters to the latest patch which contains fixes for few outstanding issues and also provides improved resilience and stability. These SBC clusters currently serve Public IP Centrex customers and 'registering' SIP Trunking customers. Static/Enterprise SIP Trunk Customers will not be affected.

The upgrade will be done on the standby half of the HA Pair followed by failover, and the other half will be upgraded. 



Services Affected:

IP Voice Services



Impact:

We do not expect to lose registrations and connected calls as the other half of the SBC cluster will handle the registrations and call attempts.
The Engineering team will be closely monitoring all systems and services to ensure any disruption is as brief as possible, if experienced.
