[IP Voice Services] Maintenance window 1st March 2014

Please be advised of the following maintenance window scheduled on the
IP Voice.Services Call Recording system.

Date: Saturday, 1st March 2014
Start time: 18:00 GMT
End time: 01:00 GMT

Purpose:

The engineering team will be performing works to migrate the database
and web-service elements of the call recorder to new server hardware,
as well as integrating further media server elements to the system.

These works represent significant investment into a new hardware
platform to improve system performance and increase capacity.

Services affected:

IP Voice Services - Call Recording

Impact:

Due to the nature of these works, the portal will be unavailable for
most of this period, so please refrain from using the portal or
accessing the call recording system using the archiving or desktop
notifier tools.

Although the portal will be unavailable, calls will continue to be
recorded throughout the window and will be available in the system
after the works are complete.

The engineering team will be working to make sure the portal
unavailability is kept to a minimum.

Our engineering team will be closely monitoring all systems and
services, as well as the above, to ensure any disruption is as brief
as possible if experienced.

[Core Network] Service Alert 14th February 2014 - Update 6

This is an incident notification regarding Internet connectivity at
site LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Date: Friday, 14th February 2014
Start time: 13:42 GMT
End time: 18:38 GMT

Services affected:

Internet access at LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Report:

At 13:42 we observed flapping in a third party circuit out of Comtec
House. Failover to the backup lines happened automatically and
services to Comtec House continued to operate, albeit on reduced
resilience.

Our supplier advised that they were experiencing a nationwide major
service outage (MSO) across their network.

We have now received the RFO from our supplier as follows:

"This fault was caused by a faulty link between two of our core
network sites, Hersham and Brentford.

The fibre optic cables were cleaned, which resolved the problem, and
services have been stable since this was done."

[IP Voice Services] Planned Engineering Work 23rd February 2014

Please be advised of the following planned engineering works on our IP Voice platform:

Date: Sunday, 23rd February 2014
Start time: 03:00 GMT
End time 05:00 GMT

Purpose:

The Engineering Team will be performing works to increase the capacity of one of the call processing server clusters in the platform between 03:00 on 23/02/2014 and 05:00 on 23/02/2014.

Impact:

Expected impact is MEDIUM.

During the works window please refrain from attempting to make any provisioning changes to users or features where possible.

Due to the nature of the works there will be a brief period, of no more than 10 minutes, where users may experience excessive post dial delay or the inability to make or receive calls.

The Engineering to team will be working to make sure this is kept as short as possible and carried out at a time which will effect as few users as possible.

Our Engineering Team will be closely monitoring all systems and services, as well as the above, to ensure any disruption is as brief as possible if experienced

This is an incident notification regarding Internet connectivity at
site LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Date: Friday, 14th February 2014
Start time: 13:42 GMT
End time: 18:38 GMT

Services affected:

Internet access at LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Report:

At 13:42 we observed flapping in a third party circuit out of Comtec
House. Failover to the backup lines happened automatically.

Our supplier advised that they were experiencing a nationwide major
service outage (MSO) across their network. Following hardware
replacement by their engineers, they have advised that the fault has
been repaired.

We have tested the circuit and confirmed that it appears to be
operating normally again, and have therefore brought it back into
service, At this time full resilience has been restored.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely.

This is an incident notification regarding Internet connectivity at
site LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Date: Friday, 14th February 2014
Start time: 13:42 GMT

Services affected:

Internet access at LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Report:

At 13:42 we observed flapping in a third party circuit out of Comtec
House. Failover to the backup lines happened automatically.

We have observed that the circuit has been stable since 15:55, however
we have not yet received an all-clear from our supplier.

Our supplier has advised that they are experiencing a nationwide major
service outage (MSO) across their network. An engineer is on their way
to the exchange, with an estimated arrival time of 17:35.

The next update will be issued in 90 minutes, or earlier if new
information becomes available.

This is an incident notification regarding Internet connectivity at
site LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Services affected:

Internet access at LSREI01 (Comtec House).

Report:

At 13:42 we observed flapping in a third party circuit out of Comtec
House. Failover to the backup lines happened automatically, however
the issue on the primary circuit persists.

Our supplier has advised that they are experiencing a nationwide major
service outage (MSO) across their network and are working to resolve
this. They are not yet able to provide an estimated time to repair.

No new information is available at this time. The next update will be
issued in 30 minutes.
