[VoIP UK] Service Alert 2nd November 2016

This is an incident notification regarding VoIP UK voice services.

Date: Wednesday, 2nd November 2016
Start time: 15:14 GMT (UTC+0000)

Services affected:

IP voice services using VoIP UK.
BT services are unaffected.

Report:

Comtec NOC has observed a drop in all registrations and an inability
to register with VoIP UK. We have raised this matter with VoIP UK as a
matter of urgency.

Comtec NOC is tracking this issue under ticket [#DCX-370-12304].

Christmas moratorium 2016-2017

Please be advised of the following Christmas moratorium scheduled on
our network.

Start date: Tuesday, 13th December 2016
End date: Thursday, 5th January 2017

Purpose:

In line with industry best practice, we and our suppliers will be
instituting our annual change freeze between these dates in order to
protect customer services.

Services affected:

All.

Impact:

There will be an moratorium on changes across our network during this
period. Provision activities may be delayed and lead times will be
impacted if they fall within or after this window. Repair activities
will not be affected.

If we carry out any maintenance activity during this window, it will
be for emergency reasons and will be carried out to protect customer
service and the network from an uncontrolled loss of service.

Please ensure any new orders are submitted in good time to avoid being
affected by this window.

[Core Network] Maintenance window 6th November 2016

Please be advised of the following maintenance window scheduled at our
Interxion LON1 (CLBIS02) site:

Start date: Sunday, 6th November 2016
Start time: 14:00 GMT (UTC+0000)
End time: 22:00 GMT (UTC+0000)

Purpose:

We will be installing additional equipment to increase capacity at our
Interxion LON1 (CLBIS02) site.

Services affected:

All services hosted in or single-homed out of Interxion LON1 (CLBIS02)
including Cloud Ethernet circuits single-homed to this location.
Services at other sites will not be affected.

Impact:

LOW.

This is an "at-risk" notification due to the cable management work
that will be occurring. No impact to service is expected.

Our engineering team will be monitoring all services and circuits
closely and if any outage is experienced, it is expected to be very
brief.

[Cloud Ethernet] Maintenance window 27th October 2016

Please be advised of the following maintenance window scheduled by BT Wholesale:

Date: Thursday, 27th October 2016
Start time: 00:01 BST (UTC+0100)
End time: 06:00 BST (UTC+0100)

Purpose:

BT have advised us that they will be upgrading some network hardware
in the London Greenwich region to provide more capacity and faster
throughput.

Services affected:

Cloud Ethernet (All BT Wholesale variants) terminating in our Telecity
HEX (LNPOP02) PoP.

Resilient circuits and those connected to other PoPs are not expected
to be affected.

Impact:

HIGH.

There will be a interruption to all BT Wholesale Cloud Ethernet
services single-homed to our Telecity HEX (LNPOP02) node during this
window. BT expect an outage of 50-60 minutes to end-users if all goes
well, but this could extend to 2hrs if they have a problem.

Other services hosted in Telecity HEX will not be affected, and
resilient Cloud Ethernet services will not be affected.

[Database Cluster] Maintenance window 27th August 2016 - Update 2

The MySQL database upgrade and migration has been completed successfully.

If you are experiencing any issues as a result of this work, please
confirm that your software has been updated to be compatible with
MySQL 5.6. If you continue to have problems after checking this,
please contact noc at comtec.com with the details.

Our support portals are also now operational again.
