[IP Voice Services] Planned Engineering Work 25th January 2014

Please be advised of the following planned engineering works on our IP Voice platform:

Date: Saturday, 25th January 2014
Start time: 20:00 GMT
End time 22:00 GMT

Purpose:

The Engineering Team will be performing works to move the secondary power connections of some equipment into a new Power Distribution Unit (PDU) into an existing rack location in one of our datacentres between 20:00 on 25/01/2014 and 22:00 on 25/01/2014.

Impact:

Expected impact is LOW.

We are issuing this PEW due to the proximity of these works to live equipment.

There is no expected effect on service to end users as a result of these works and this notice is issued due to the proximity of live equipment which is 'at risk' only.

Our Engineering Team will be closely monitoring all systems and services to ensure any disruption is as brief as possible if experienced.

[IP Voice Services] - Emergency Engineering Works 08/01/2014 PEWA0161

Please be advised of the following emergency engineering works on the IP Voice Services platform:

Date: 21:00, 08/01/14 to 01:00, 09/01/2014.

Purpose
The BT IPVS Engineering Team will be performing works to address the issue seen with Call Recording in SAA0086 between 2100 on 08/01/2014 and 0100 on 09/01/2014.

Impact
As part of these works the recording elements of the system will need to be restarted so some calls may not be fully recorded or recorded at all.
The restart of these elements will take a few minutes and may be required multiple times; we will work to carry out these restarts at times that will have the least impact.

The BT IPVS Engineering Team will be closely monitoring all systems and services, as well as the above, to ensure any disruption is as brief as possible if experienced.

[IP Voice Services] - Service Alert : SAA0086 - Call Recording

Please be advised of the following Service Alert on the IP Voice Services platform:

Date: 08/01/2014 at 15:30.

Incident Description

BT IPVS Engineering have become aware of an issue affecting the recording of a small proportion of calls by the Call Recording system resulting in them not to be recorded and therefore visible in the portal.
They believe that this may have been occurring since 06/01.
They are still actively investigating this issue in conjunction with the vendor and will update again once we have further information available.
Unfortunately BT are not able to recover recordings for calls that have been affected by this issue.

BT IPVS apologise for any inconvenience caused.

[Core Network] Maintenance window 15th January 2014

Please be advised of the following maintenance window scheduled by one
of our transit providers:

Date: Wednesday, 15th January 2014
Start time: 00:01 GMT
End time: 06:00 GMT

Purpose:

One of our transit providers will be migrating one of our circuits as
part of their scheduled upgrades.

Services affected:

Internet access.

Impact:

Low.

Routing to some Internet destinations will fail over to alternative
circuits during this window. No outage is anticipated due to the
resilience in our network, however services are "at-risk" during this
window. IP voice services will be unaffected.

One of our transit providers will implement scheduled maintenance to
core network equipment to prevent future service interruptions to
customer services.

Services affected:

All, except IP voice.

Impact:

Routing to some Internet destinations will fail over to alternative
paths during this window. No outage is anticipated due to the
resilience in our network, however services are "at-risk" during this
window. IP voice services will be unaffected.

Please note that this work was rescheduled from 29th November.
