I can't receive any calls, what can I do?

There are many reasons why you might not be able to receive calls on your phone, however you can use the following simple and quick steps to try resolve the issue.

  1. If you lift up the receiver do you get a dial tone? If not check to make sure the phone is plugged in correctly.
  2. Dial *00 from the phone and wait for a double beep. This will remove any forwarding that may have been setup.
  3. Dial *09 and again wait for the double beep. This will remove Do Not Disturb from your phone.

Once you have checked the above try calling your phone to see if the issue has now been resolved.

If after checking you are still unable to recieve calls then please Submit a Ticket and an engineer will investigate this further.

Please note the following:

  • This only applies to Avaya IP Office telephones
  • The phone system administrator may have removed the ability to dial either *00 or *09 from your phone
  • If you are not the only person in your office affected by this issue we would advise that you contact your telephony service provider as they may have an outage in your area
